Lombard Airdrop

Updated October 11, 2024

About Lombard

Lombard’s focus is to unlock Bitcoin’s potential in DeFi, mainly by establishing it as a versatile financial instrument. The project aims to establish a universal Bitcoin standard, backed by major ecosystem contributors who share Bitcoin’s core values. This approach allows Bitcoin to generate yield across multiple blockchains without fragmenting liquidity, driving substantial capital inflows into DeFi.

Why We Choose Lombard?

Lombard is a leading Bitcoin liquid staking protocol, with their flagship product LBTC built on top of Babylon. This means you can potentially earn Babylon airdrop for farming Lombard.

In July 2024, Lombard raised $16M from their Seed funding round, backed by reputable capitals such as Polychain Capital, OKX Ventures, and Mirana Ventures.

During their Private Beta phase, Lombard attracted nearly 4,000 BTC staked, totaling over $200 million. Now, with LBTC staking open to everyone, it’s a great opportunity to engage with Lombard and potentially secure future airdrops.

How to earn Lombard Airdrop: Stake/Swap and hold LBTC + Participate in DeFi using LBTC + Deposit into Lombard DeFi Vault.

Recommended strategy: The Lombard DeFi Vault offers direct wBTC deposit on the Ethereum Mainnet. You can deposit using wBTC to save gas cost while retaining the same 4x Lux multiplier as with LBTC.

We recommend participating in DeFi using LBTC, or depositing it into the Lombard DeFi Vault to maximize your Lux for the Lombard airdrop.

Note: If you already have a wallet, feel free to skip this step. Alternatively, you can also swap to LBTC on the Ethereum Mainnet using part III below.

#1: Install wallet:

To stake BTC in Lombard, you will need a Bitcoin-supported wallet. There are several options available:

Select any of the wallets above and install the extension. We recommend using the OKX Wallet since it supports both EVM and native Bitcoin addresses.

 #2: Top-up your BTC balance:

Currently, Lombard supports LBTC staking on all native Bitcoin networks: Taproot, Legacy, Nested SegWit, Native SegWit.

Open your BTC wallet (in this case OKX) and choose any of the available BTC networks. Copy your address and transfer in BTC from a CEX.

Currently, there are 2 ways to get LBTC:

  • Stake BTC (available on all native Bitcoin networks).
  • Swap assets for LBTC (Ethereum Mainnet)

Regardless of your method, LBTC will be minted to your wallet on the Ethereum Mainnet. Holding LBTC in your wallet will yield 1000 Lux/1 BTC/day.

#1: Stake BTC (native Bitcoin):

You can stake BTC on any native Bitcoin networks (Taproot, Legacy, Nested SegWit, Native SegWit) to get LBTC.

Visit the Lombard app and connect your wallet. Click on Stake BTC to view the staking interface.

On the staking interface, confirm your LBTC destination (your EVM address) and choose the preferred staking method. Transfer in BTC using the provided address to stake directly, or click on the wallet icon if you want to stake via wallet.

After staking, LBTC will be minted to your wallet on the Ethereum Mainnet.

#2: Swap assets for LBTC (Ethereum Mainnet):

This method to acquire LBTC is easier if you are not familiar with native Bitcoin.

Visit Lombard Swap and connect your wallet. Choose your desired asset, enter the amount, and click on Swap.

You can participate in DeFi using LBTC to earn Lux multipliers, Babylon Points, and  other rewards from each respective protocol.

Visit the Lombard DeFi page to view all available pools. Choose your desired DeFi pool and click on the Plus button to deposit.

You can deposit LBTC/wBTC in the Lombard DeFi Vault to earn 4x Lux multiplier, 2x Corn Kernels, and 3x Veda Points.

Visit Lombard Vault and connect your wallet. Click on Deposit.

On the Deposit interface, select your desired asset, enter the amount, and click on Approve and Send.
